I've even used it on areas that are curved and did not nick my skin. As this is just a trimmer you will not get a baby smooth shave. By itself this trimmer will leave about 1 millimeter or less hair. An unexpected but pleasant feature is that the body of the trimmer is made of a plastic that feels similar to an armrest on a chair or wrist pillow on some keyboards. Promising review: "I bought the red/blue spectrum model and I absolutely love it. I use this light for the 20+ plants in my kitchen. The timer function is really easy to operate using both the remote and the timer attached to the stand. The remote also works well from a distance - I was able to adjust the lights from another room. The brightness of the light is easily adjustable and once you read the instructions on how to set the timer one time it becomes really intuitive and easy to remember - not difficult at all. The arms of the lights are very pliable and I can adjust each arm based on the height of my various plant species. The assembly is also easy - it took me no more than five minutes total to assemble the plant light and adjust it how I liked it. It's very tall and should work for most plants, whether you have them on the floor or on a table/plant stand (like I do). I used it when I left town for a few days so I didn't have to leave my windows wide open for light. Worked like a dream and I no longer have to worry about my plants getting a full day's with of light when I’m out of town or even just when it's really dreary outside. I’ve left it on the 12-hour setting ever since and in the month that I’ve had it, I have definitely noticed a positive difference and lots of growth (even in the winter!).
